How to read this archive

Destiny’s story spans 11 years of expansions, seasons, missions, lore books, hidden dialogue, and collectible lore entries. This archive organizes it all into one searchable timeline: over 1,400 in-game transcripts, over a hundred lore books, and chronological indexes of every major character and release.

Narrative chronology

Read the saga in story order, from the Gardener and Winnower, the Worm Gods, and the Collapse through the Guardian eras of D1 to Heresy. Lore books appear under the era they describe, not when they unlocked.

Release timeline

Follow Destiny in real-world release order from Destiny (2014) through Renegades (2025). Best for replaying expansions alongside the lore released with them.
