The Guardian jumps through the portal in the Derelict.

Location: The Haul, The Derelict

The Guardian heads upwards by jumping on platforms which look like giant versions of the Drifter's jade coins and finds the Emissary.

The Nine: WHAT DOES IT WANT?

The Emissary: You ask the same questions. You never listen.

The Nine: WHY DID IT DO THIS?

The Emissary: He's afraid.

The Nine: OF DEATH?

The Emissary: Of everything.

The Nine: SO IT KILLS.

The Emissary: He hates violence. He hates it so much that he'll murder anyone who tries to inflict it on him.

The Emissary disappears.
