Immaru, the Ghost of Savathûn, sends a message to the Vanguard.

Immaru: Listen up, Glitter Bums. This is First Ghost Immaru talking. You’re still trying to get through the Witness’s portal, eh? The scene replays Joxer’s failed attempt at breaching the portal.

Immaru: This ain’t a door you can just kick open. You even asked some leftover worm for answers. Too bad she led you right to us. Now you need help from the one witch nobody can trust: my boss, Savathûn. The scene replays Savathun’s death at the hands of the Guardian.

Immaru: Even though she’s temporarily dead, she left instructions for this very situation. As usual, you maggots are three steps behind. Savathûn will help you on one condition: first, deal with her sister, Xivu Arath. She’s the Hive God of War and the Witness’s best general. It’s a win-win, see? Don’t look so sour. You’ve already got everything you need. I suggest you start with a witch of your own...

Eris Morn: Guardian. The Witness poses a dire threat, and the Witch Queen holds the answers we seek. But only if we contend with her sister. Immaru has promised us a method for defeating Xivu Arath, arranged by Savathûn before her death. There is a spire atop her throne world sanctum, a place of dire experiments where she abused the Light. With this knowledge, Immaru and I have devised a powerful artifact infused with Hive magic. It will allow you to dispel the Witch Queen's trickery, and master the Spire through a ritual of our own.

{Gameplay}

Florescent Canal, Savathûn’s Throne World

The Guardian touches down on Savathûn’s Throne World.

Ikora: Even in death, the Witch Queen lays her snares for us. Be careful, Guardian.

Immaru: This is a real privilege, so act like it. Savathûn doesn't open her Spire to just anyone.

Eris Morn: If such a place exists.

Immaru: Why lie, when the truth is so much more dangerous?

Eris Morn: You are not the Witch Queen.

Ikora: And the Guardian is far more dangerous.

Immaru: Please. Xivu Arath is too much for you to handle. You need our help.

Ikora: And you need ours. The Guardian begins their ascent to the top of the sanctum.

Court of Thorns, Savathûn’s Throne World

Lucent Hive are kneeling in worship, turn to attack the Guardian as they approach.

Ikora: Immaru, tell your Lucent Hive to stand down.

Immaru: Savathûn's orders are for them to guard the Spire. I'm sure your little glow-worms can handle it. The Guardian defeats the Lucent Hive.

Ikora: I don't like this. Resurrecting Savathûn, using her magic. This is exactly what we wanted to avoid.

Eris Morn: The Witch Queen knew she could entice us with a common goal: removing the threat of Xivu Arath.

Immaru: Heh. And she knew the Vanguard had a little Hive Acolyte of their own. That's why she's opening up her Spire... she thinks you've got what it takes. With the gates closed, the Guardian uses a point of Deepsight to reveal past platforms up the sanctum.

A Reclaimant of Savathûn floats nearby, with a trio of void crystals.

Hastokk, Oblative Aspirant arrives.

The Guardian defeats Hastokk, Oblative Aspirant and their Ghost.

Eris Morn: Void Crystals bend reality through tightly channeled power. Shatter them to break their control. The Guardian shatters the first void crystal.

The Reclaimant of Savathûn becomes active and engages the Guardian.

The Guardian defeats the Reclaimant of Savathûn and shatters the other two void crystals.

With the crystals destroyed, Hive runes appears all around the Guardian. 'The Acolyte's Staff hums with power...'

Immaru: Use that Witch's Staff to cast a little spell of your own. The Guardian uses the Acolyte’s Staff to invoke Hive magic.

The spell propels the Guardian to the top of the sanctum.

Immaru: Spire's just up ahead. But we'll need more than some Lightless lackey's fancy eyes to see it.

Eris Morn: This is where the Witch Queen fell, and you fled for your life. Remember that.

Ikora: We should focus.

Immaru: That was a fluke. Your Guardians got lucky.

Eris Morn: Really? How many of your apostate Ghosts have seen the Guardian's mercy?

Immaru: Don't you threaten me.

Eris Morn: I am not threatening you. I am telling you what the Guardian will do.

Sanctum of the Brood Queen, Savathûn’s Throne World

The Guardian climbs the final steps, with no Spire in sight.

Ikora: So where is this Spire?

Immaru: You'll see. Start the ritual to bring down Savathûn's illusion. Elûnash, Oblative Adherent leads a group of Lucent Hive in worship, including Auloc, Oblative Postulant and Aulith, Oblative Postulant.

The Guardian hauls the solar crystals to plinths, empowering their energy. The Hive Lightbearers stir... The Guardian defeats Auloc, Oblative Postulant and Aulith, Oblative Postulant and their Ghosts. The Wizards defend their Arc crystals

Eris Morn: Conduct the Arc charge between the crystals. The Guardian defeats the Wizards guarding the arc crystal, conducts its Crystalline Charge, and connects the current. Elûnash protects the illusion! The Guardian defeats Elûnash, Oblative Adherent and their Ghost.

Hive runes appears all around the Guardian.

Eris Morn: Guardian! Channel you magic with the Witch's Staff. The Guardian uses the Acolyte’s Staff to begin the Ritual of Induction.

The spell dispels the illusion, revealing Savathun’s Spire.

Eris Morn: You now wield Hive magic and have entwined it with your Light.

Ikora: Whatever you face next will test that power to its limits.

Immaru: You think your Guardians are up to scratch?

Ikora: What will we find inside the Spire?

Immaru: A way to take down her sister. That's all she told me. And that's all I'm telling you.

Ikora: And she'll uphold her end of the bargain? Give us the information we need?

Immaru: I'll bring her back as soon as Xivu's taken care of. Then you can ask her yourself.

Eris Morn: Hmm. Guardian, traverse the Spire. We shall see what morsel of truth awaits us. The Guardian reaches the gate, and breaches the Spire.
